T4CIP Alumni Committee
About the T4CIP Alumni Committee
The T4CIP Alumni Committee is group of previous T4CIP trainees dedicated to furthering the mission of T4CIP and supporting future generations of trainees and pediatric advocates. T4CIP Alumni Committee Subcommittees
-
The patient-facing materials subcommittee focuses on creating content for members to utilize with their own patients in the hospital, clinic, emergency room, and beyond.
-
The provider/trainee-facing materials subcommittee focuses on creating content to support trainees’ success on the Day of Action. This includes materials they can use specific to each Day of Action, as well as general advocacy education and resources for our trainees. This committee is a bit unique in that the slide deck and toolkit are due early in the cycle so they can be reviewed and distributed to trainees in advance of the Day of Action. Once those tasks are completed, we typically focus on the remaining short term and longitudinal tasks.
-
The community-facing content and support subcommittee focuses on advocacy efforts aimed towards impacting and engaging with trainees' local communities at large. This includes, but is not limited to, policy briefs, AAP resolutions, and op-eds/letters to the editor.
-
The social media committee is responsible for running the T4CIP social media (Instagram and LinkedIn) both on the Days of Action as well as throughout the remainder of the year. Previous years have focused on boosting trainee content, identifying challenges/trends to participate in surrounding Days of Action, featuring both trainees and alumni, and engaging with other major pediatric advocacy and injury prevention groups.
-
The T4CIP-focused content subcommittee focuses on amplifying and sustaining engagement in T4CIP by capturing, creating, and sharing resources that inspire action and build community. We highlight Day of Action efforts through summaries, stories, and creative reflections, while also developing practical guides and tools to help new institutions and trainees get involved. In addition, we work to strengthen trainee and alumni connections through newsletters, events, advocacy resource sharing, and/or impact evaluation, while collaborating with national partners to expand the reach of pediatric injury prevention and advocacy.
